He is survived by: his wife Sheila Sellers Murley; his daughter Leigh Murley-Phillips (John); his granddaughter Sydney Kate Murley; and his siblings, Paul Murley (Delores) and Lynda Murley Cox (Cooper).

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Brownsville First United Methodist Church at 117 E. Franklin Street, Brownsville, TN 38012 or to the Haywood County Humane Society at 217 S. Russell Ave., Brownsville, TN 38012.
