It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Doris Marie W. Blackwell in Jackson, Tennessee, who passed away on June 7, 2023, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her mother Elna Williford (Kolwyck); her sister Lyndall Martin; and her grandsons, Noah Christopher and Zachary Turner. She is survived by: her daughter Lori Freeman (Blackwell); her grandchildren, Colton Brooks Freeman, Kacie Marie Freeman and Gavin Blackwell; her son Gavin Blackwell; and her grandchildren, Stella Blue Blackwell and McKenzie Rain Blackwell.
Above all, we think Marie would have loved for people to provide a donation to their church or to the American Cancer Society: give a bible to a prisoner; give a meal to a homeless person…simply performing any random act of kindness in Marie's memory would be the perfect way to honor her beautiful soul.
