It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ernestine McGee Dunaway in Jackson, Tennessee, who passed away on May 11, 2026, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Larry; her parents, Lawrence Carl and Lena Pearl; and her brother Nathan McGee. She is survived by: her son Mark; her daughter-in-law Debbie; her grandchildren, Tyler (Kendal), Nicholas (Annie) and Megan; her great grandchildren, Chandler, Everly and Josie; her sister-in-law Donna McGee; and her nephew Jeremy McGee.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 16th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Sunday, May 17th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Shackelford Funeral Directors - Selmer (160 Cypress Ave, Selmer, TN 38375). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, May 17th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Sunday, May 17th 2026 at the Lake Hill Memorial Gardens (3320 Main St, Bethel Springs, TN 38315).
