She was predeceased by: her parents, Bailey McCommon and May McCommon; her husband Johnnie Butler, Sr.; and her siblings, Willie McCommon and Mildred McCommon Austin.
She is survived by: her children, Jeal Butler Atwood, Johnnie Butler, Jr. and Jeff Butler; and her grandchildren, Todd Atwood, Troy Atwood, Trevor Atwood, Jeremy Butler, Jordan Butler, Jenna Butler Whittington, Blake Butler and Stephanie Butler. She is also survived by twenty great-grandchildren.
