She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Shalaty and Sophia Shalaty; her husband Vic; and her siblings, John Shalaty, Veronica Mucci and Edward Shalaty.

She is survived by: her children, Victor Buchholz, Jr. (Kimberly), Patrick Buchholz (Renee) and Angie LaFont (Bill); her siblings, Frances Thrlin and Phil Shalaty; and her grandchildren, Mary Buchholz, Nicholas Buchholz, Maddie Buchholz, Lizzie LaFont Wallace (Bryton), Michael Buchholz, Rachel LaFont and Luke LaFont. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Association, RIFA, or St. Mary's Catholic Church.
