He is survived by: his wife Regina K. Short; his daughter Felecia Short; his grandchildren, Sierra Short, Montana Smith, Logan Short, Landen Smith and Ledger Smith; his son-in-law Curtis Smith; and his children, Debbie Steele and Joey Short.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Arrington Funeral Directors and Crematory (148 W University Pkwy, Jackson, TN 38305). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Shiloh Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery (2864 TN-423, McKenzie, TN 38201).
