With sadness, we share the passing of James Deberry Sr. (Jackson, Tennessee). James, born on September 19, 1940, passed away on October 21, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, John DeBerry and Arlene Johnson DeBerry; and his siblings, O. C. DeBerry, William DeBerry, Ellawee Franklin and Mamie Fuller.
He is survived by: his children, Craig DeBerry of Jacksonville, NC., Karen "Lisa" DeBerry of Fayetteville, NC, Monique Miller (Philip) of Rossville, TN, James A. DeBerry, Jr. of Jackson, TN and Justin C. DeBerry of Fayetteville, NC.. He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, along with nieces, nephews, extended family.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 29th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM at the Mercer Brothers Funeral Home (501 Dr Martin Luther King Jr Dr, Jackson, TN 38301). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 30th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
