She was predeceased by: her parents, Garland Alexander and Amanda Elizabeth Holloway Hurt; her husband Joseph Thomas Suggs; her son Michael Wallace; her siblings, Billy Hurt, Odell Hurt (Louise), Thomas Hurt, Alma Lomax and Sammy Lou Rose (Burns); and her brother-in-law Harold Jackson.
She is survived by: her children, Darrell Wallace, Greg Wallace (Norma), Thomas Wallace (Kim) and Belinda Coleman (Teddy); her stepdaughter Shelley Ragland (John); her sister-in-law Ruth Hurt; and her sister Mary Jackson. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
