He is survived by: his wife Judy Thicksten Chandler; his children, Gale Phillips and Sherry Carnell (Richard "Skip"); his grandchildren, Melissa Lindeman (Neil), Jenny Puckett, Lee Carnell (Katie), Kevin Carnell (Jessica), Ryan Carnell (Courtney), Reed Carnell, Jacob Carnell (Jessie Kelsoe) and Ethan Phillips; his great grandchildren, Peter Lindeman, Kinley Carnell, Benjamin Lindeman, Turner Carnell, Christopher Lindeman and Dean Carnell; and his half-brother James Franklin Dew.
