He is survived by: his children, Pamela Burns of Nashville, Tennessee, Dr. Angela Burns of Nashville, Tennessee, Ashley Merriweather of Jackson, Tennessee, Joshua Burns of Jackson, Tennessee and Shatera Blue of Braden, Tennessee.; and his sisters, Peggy D. White of Lansing and Angela B. Ewing (Phillip) of Madison. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren.
