He was predeceased by: his parents, John Otis Walters and Mildred Hairston; his siblings, Richard Walters and Janice Corby; and his daughter Loretta Nevulis.
He is survived by: his children, John Walters, Vanessa Martin (Jim) and Elizabeth Hedrick (Obadiah); and his grandchildren, Zachary Martin (Angela), Brandon Martin, Mackenzie Nevulis and Brandon Nevulis. He is also survived by two great grandchildren.
