We are sad to announce that, on January 23, 2021 we had to say goodbye to Joyce Lynn Barefoot (Jackson, Tennessee), born in Monroe, Louisiana. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parent Colbert. She is survived by: her spouse Dr. Hyran Barefoot; her daughters, Judith Lynn Thomas (Steve) of Jackson, Rebecca June Dark (Clayton) of Germantown and Andrea Jane Hunter (Nathan) of Knoxville, Tennessee; her grandchildren, Abby Scott (Chris), Anna Wainscott (Justin), Amanda Price (Ben), Rebecca Stine (Quinton), Stuart Hunter (Jacquelyn) and Spence Hunter (Meredith); her sister Anna Rose Griffis; and her daughter Judy. She is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren.

Social Distancing and masks are required.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be directed to the Hyran and Joyce Barefoot Scholarship Fund at Union University, 1050 Union University Drive, Jackson, Tennessee 38305 or to West Jackson Baptist Church, 580 Oil Well Road, Jackson, Tennessee 38305.
