He is survived by: his parents, Steve Cowden and Polly Ellis Cowden; his daughters, Kathryn Danielle Cowden and Callie Brooke Cowden of Pensacola, FL; his siblings, Casey Richey (Brian) and Jason Cowden; his grandmothers, Sue Glenn and Jean Ellis; his nephew Cooper Richey; and his niece Addison Richey. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles and many cousins.
