She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Upchurch and Ruby Karnes Upchurch; her husband Ed Newman; and her brothers, Bob Upchurch and Dale Upchurch.

She is survived by: her daughters, Kim Priddy (Jimmy) of Jackson, TN, Wanda Scanlon (Pat) of Jackson, TN and Patsy Hollman (Jim) of Jackson, TN; her brothers, Jim Upchurch of Jackson, TN and Dave Upchurch of Lexington, TN; her grandchildren, Kelly Breazeale (Steve), Sarah Reese (Josh), Rebecca Muncie (Kyle), Emily Priddy (Steven Dorris), Lauralee Hise (Tripp), Edward Scanlon (Tess), William Scanlon, Russell Hollman (Holly), Alex Hollman (Jessica) and Luke Hollman; and her great grandchildren, Allie Breazeale, Ben Breazeale, Sam Reese, Ann Marie Muncie, Chase Hise, Marymac Hise, Patrick Hise, Ward Scanlon, Claire Scanlon and Ava Hollman.
