As Mildred Childress departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Mildred Childress. Though Mildred Childress may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, William Arthur and Erfie Lula Surles Childress; her spouse J. C. Roe; her sons, Richard Roe (Cindy) of Jackson, TN and Ronnie Roe (Glena) of Dayton, TN; her granddaughters, Amber Davis (Alan) and Carrie Pledge (Thomas); and her great grandchildren, Christopher, William, Elijah Davis, Piper and Bailey Pledge.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, July 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Hollywood Cemetery (406 Hollywood Dr, Jackson, TN 38301).
