He is survived by: his wife Janet Hughes of Union City; his sons, Adam Hughes (Alicia) of Murfreesboro, Todd Thayer (Wendy) of Dyersburg and David Thayer (Kellie) of Union City; his grandson Dylan Thayer (Madison) of Dyersburg; his great grandchildren, Brinley Thayer and Bo Thayer of Dyersburg; and his sister Melody Henry (Matt) of Jackson.
