He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer Hay and Mildred Kilzer Hay. He is survived by: his wife Lisa Lewis Hay of Jackson, TN; his children, Jason Hay (Kelly) of Bryant, AR and Lea Hay (Jacob Howard) of Arlington, VA; his siblings, Steve Hay (Becky) of Trenton, TN and Linda Carol Moore of Jackson, TN; and his grandson Spencer Hay. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

The family is requesting that memorial donations be directed to the Department of Music at the University of Tennessee at Martin, 16 Mt. Pelia Rd., Martin, TN 38238 or to the charity of the donor's choice.
