He was predeceased by: his parents, Hal Cummings and Frances Cummings; his son William "Wil" Dickerson Cummings, Jr.; and his grandson William "Trey" Dickerson Cummings, III. He is survived by: his wife Shelia Cummings; his son Thomas Cummings; his granddaughter Brooke Thweatt (Nicholas); his great grandchildren, Briley, Kohnley and Finley Thweatt; his sisters, Laura Cotner and Susie Lonon; and his daughter-in-law Connie Miller. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
