He was predeceased by: his daughter Theresa Layton; and his parents, Warren J. Layton and Frances M. Layton (Clark). He is survived by: his children, Ashley Rush (Gabriel), Anthony Layton, Dustin Thurman, Candace Layton, Krystal Layton and Lauren Layton; his grandchildren, Khaidyn Rush, Hannah Rush and Willow Rush A; and his nephew Dustin McBroom A. He is also survived by grandchildren Ten Brothers and Sisters.
A funeral service was held on Wednesday, May 28th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Middle Tennessee State Veteran Cemetery (7931 McCrory Ln, Nashville, TN 37221).
