He was predeceased by: his mother Stella Cravens; and his sister Grace Choate (Charles). He is survived by: his children, Thomas Cravens, Bonnie Kirby (Chirs) and Cindy Greer; his grandchildren, Samantha Watters (Hasten), Ethan Flowers and Gregory Seth Greer; and his sisters, Connie Stephens (Willard) and Judy Dayhuff (Hollis).
