He was predeceased by: his son Robert Tommy Hayes; his parents, Marion Oliver Hayes and Stella Irene Hayes (Pritchett); and his grandparents, Lawrence "L. B.", Mary Hayes (Clayborn), Wheeler Manson Pritchett Sr. and Mary Etta Pritchett (Pennycuff).
He is survived by: his children, Bunny Marie Hayes (John Ricketts), Adonia Michelle Rooney (Kelly) and Matthew Alan Hayes (Patty14 Grandchildren25 Great). He is also survived by Two Nephews, One Niece and Nine Great Nieces.
