She was predeceased by: her cousin Carolyn Carden; her parents, Iva Choate and Elmer Choate (Iva Choate); her husband Conrad Gernt; and her brother-in-law Steve Gernt.
She is survived by: her son Derek Gernt; her daughter-in-law Allison Gernt; her grandchildren, Maci and Noah Gernt; her siblings-in-law, Stewart and Brenda Gernt; her niece Kelly Atkinson (Shane); her great-nephew Avery Tinsley; and her cousins, Barbara Brown, Kathy West and Helen Wilson.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, August 6th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Pine Grove Church of God of Prophecy (1171 Lawson Rd, Crossville, TN 38571). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, August 6th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A procession was held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Allardt Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Children of Cumberland County Chamber Orchestra.
