He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Doc Pickett and Helen Pickett; his wife Margaret "Peggy" Hampton Pickett; his sons, James K. Pickett, Jr. (Haley), Michael Keith Pickett and Nicholas Tilton Pickett (Heather); his siblings, H. T. Pickett, Donald Gene Pickett (Sandy), Janice Bivens (Jerry) and Joyce Tate (Allen); his grandchildren, Emily Pickett, Tilton Pickett, Avah Pickett, Preston Pickett, Skyler Pickett, Paislee Pickett, Nicholas Pickett and Colton Pickett; and his great grandchild Arwen Grooms. He was also cherished by several nieces, nephews, family members and special friends.
