It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Wesley Thompson of Jasper, Tennessee, who passed away on April 11, 2023, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Thomas Jefferson Thompson and Mildred Evans Thompson Rounsaville; his brothers, Thomas E. Thompson, Charles Kenneth Thompson and Jerome Eugene Thompson; and his stepfather Ernest Rounsaville.

He is survived by : his wife Ann Nunley Thompson; his children, Deborah Thompson Conley and James Wesley Thompson, Jr. (Jackie); his grandchildren, Kasie Ann Hooker (Jason), Adam Conley (Courtney) and James Wesley Thompson, III; and his great grandchildren, Samuel Lawrence Hooker, Elizabeth Ann Hooker, Alicen Grace Hooker and Jace Adam Conley.
