He was predeceased by : his parents, Junior Layne and Betty Lue Davis Layne (Patricia Layne). He is survived by : his brothers, Melvin Layne (Pam) and Darrell Layne (Amy); his friend Linda Scissom; and his former life partner Janet Allen LaFevor. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
