John William Grimes of Jasper, Tennessee passed away on October 16, 2026. John William, born on June 1, 1947, shared life alongside family, friends, and others. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Will Grimes and Bessie Lee Forrester Grimes; and his siblings, Mary Nell "Tootie" Grimes, Charles Grimes and Betty Ogelsby.
He is survived by: his wife June; his daughters, Lindsay Horton (Brent) and Lauren Grimes; his grandsons, Will King, Asher and Beckett Horton; his nieces and nephews, Ginger Garrett, Cindy Levine, Charla Grimes (Fred Whisnant), Bill Ogelsby (Brenda) and Terry Grimes; and his pets, Hazel, Quentin, Knight and Brillo.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 1st 2026 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Jasper Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home (21 E 5th St, Jasper, TN 37347). A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, November 1st 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
