It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Johnny E. Smith of Jasper, Tennessee, who passed away on June 1, 2025, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Enoch Smith and Hattie Layne Smith; and his siblings, James Pilgrim, Bill Pilgrim, Albert Pilgrim, Junior Pilgrim, Pat Smith, Evelyn Peacock and Ann Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Charlotte Walker Smith; his children, Eric Smith and Amy Ragan (Ronnie); his brother Ted Smith (Sue); his grandchildren, Jacob Avans, Briana Smith, Peyton Ragan and Tyler Ragan; and his great grandchild Ellie Marie Tifton. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, other family members and special friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM and from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Tate Funeral Home (950 Mel Dixon Ln, Jasper, TN 37347). A graveside service was held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Havron's Chapel Cemetery (3267 Shellmound Rd, Jasper, TN 37347).
