It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rita Ann Alder of Jasper, Tennessee, who passed away on January 20, 2026, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. As Rita departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Rita may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Rita leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Will K. McCollum and Huelett Brewer McCollum. She is survived by: her husband Arnold Alder; her sons, Adam Alder (Amanda) and Michael Alder; and her siblings, Allen McCollum and Reba Moore (Rickey). She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
