She was predeceased by: her husband George R. Carter; her son James G Carter; her parents, Francis B Sitz and Martha Rector Sitz; her brothers, William "Tubby" Sitz, Charles Kenneth Sitz and Walter Sitz; and her daughter-in-law Willodean Carter.
She is survived by: her son Dewey F. Carter; her siblings, Margie Hood, Hershel Ray Sitz, John E. Sitz, Ralph B. Sitz and Willard J. Sitz; her grandchildren, Dewey (Jennifer), Christy and Misty (Kevin); and her great grandchildren, Alexandra, Colin, Camden, Lauren and Kaylee. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Sunday, June 22nd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Jasper Memorial Funeral Home (150 Cornerstone Dr, Jasper, TN 37347). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, June 22nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
