He was predeceased by : his wife Anne Phillips; his parents, Joe A. Phillips and Pauline Phillips; and his brother Jim Phillips. He is survived by : his children, Karen Lee (Stephen) and Brad Phillips (Rhonda); his grandchildren, Brittany Walker (Warren), Tyler Coffey (Allie), Chesney Rutherford (Austin) and Joe Phillips (Malai); his great grandchildren, Jacob, Sean, Beau Walker, Kellen and Creed Coffey; and his sister-in-law Jean Garrett (Bobby).

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Buffalo Grove Cemetery Fund.
