He was predeceased by : his wife Minnie Ingram Welch; his parents, Andrew Welch and Nola Welch; and his siblings, Lee Welch (Eliza), Bobby Welch (Jenny), Stella Eller (Fain), Martha Welch, Rosalee Welch, Lydia Woods (Ray) and Zelma Walker (Ray). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
