He was predeceased by : his parents, Ethel Morgan and Hampton Morgan of White Pine; his sisters, Juanita Standifer Reinhardt (Estel), Ila Gooch (Dick), Maxine Williams (Billy), Jean Rhyne (Louis) and Mary Catherine "Poncy" Taylor; his parents-in-law, Millard and Lucille Buterbaugh; and his nieces, Jo Ann Powell and Dana Hearn.

He is survived by : his wife Judy Buterbaugh Morgan; his children, Kelley Morgan Broome (Ben) and Bill Morgan; his grandchildren, Guy Morgan Broome and Maddie Morgan; his sisters, Carol (Donnie Hearn) and Kay (Ricky Vantrease); and his nieces and nephews, Betty Jane Black, Becky West, Warren Gooch, George Taylor, Mark Williams, Edward Rhyne, Paul, Johnny Vantrease and Rob Hearn.
