We bid farewell to Vala Dawson of Jefferson City, Tennessee, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on November 16, 2025 at the age of 88. Vala touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Wampler and Carrie Wampler; her husband Donald Dawson; her siblings, Ruth Western Hubbard, Bessie Reynolds DeLeonardo, Kate Wampler and James "Buddy" Wampler; and her half-brother Wayne Wampler.
She is survived by: her children, Debbie Hatmaker of Athens, GA, Donna Hubbard (Jeff) of Jefferson City, David Dawson (Gretchen) of Prosper, TX and Denise Lindsey (Greg) of Chattanooga; her grandchildren, Joel Hatmaker (Sara), Julie Holt (Jason), Colin Hatmaker (Laura), Katie Workman (Nick), Carrie Williams (Tony), Will Lindsey, Sarah Dawson, Lydia Toledano (Cristian), Andrew Dawson (Lauren), Jacob Lindsey (Hannah) and Chloe Lindsey; and her great grandchildren, Sawyer Holt, Zoey, Nolan, Levi Workman, Dot, Daisy Hatmaker, Amelia Williams, Charlotte, Henry Dawson, Mateo Toledano, Finn Hatmaker and Rosie Lindsey. She is also survived by her four children, 11 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Mill Springs Baptist Church in Jefferson City TN.
