He was predeceased by: his wife Martha Jackson Sheppard; his parents, Burl David and Nettie Kay Sheppard; and his brothers, Thomas Leo Alderman, Hardy Alderman, Cecil Alderman and Udell Sheppard.
He is survived by: his daughters, Mary Elizabeth Sheppard (Ricky) and Julie Lynn Sheppard Bailey of Springfield; his granddaughter Abigail Lynn Uselton of Joelton; and his sister Mary Ella Sheppard Head of Fruitland Park, FL. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
