She was predeceased by: her parents, Dewy Demonbreun and Rose Demonbreun; her husband Lucien DeSheles Jr.; her children, Lucien DeSheles III and Reda Dixon; and her grandson Daniel Judware.

She is survived by: her children, Barbara Grice (Ken), Larry DeSheles, Rose Phillips, Beverly McCuiston (Chris), Brenda Wooden (Barry) and Christy Davis. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and a host of loving extended family.
