It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Hazel Jenette Whitman of Joelton, Tennessee, who passed away on May 29, 2025, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Sylvester Hamilton and Coren Hamilton (McDonald); her husband Joe Whitman; her son Steve Whitman; and her siblings, Paul "Tot" Hamilton, Jessie Mae Hamilton, Norma Jean Hamilton, Lois Stoner, Peggy Joyce Stallings and Sherry Helen Glarrdo.
She is survived by: her sons, Kevin Whitman and Jeff Whitman (Rachelle Ann); her siblings, J. P. Hamilton (Cherrie), Ronald "Ronnie" Eugene Hamilton, Phillip Dale Hamilton, Alice Fay Young and Sarah Ruth Abbott; her daughter-in-law Dolores Whitman; and her grandsons, Joseph Lee Whitman, Kevin Eric Whitman and Jacob Scott Whitman. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Cheatham County Funeral Home (117 Elizabeth St, Ashland City, TN 37015). A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
