She was predeceased by: her father Robert Walter Scott; and her brother Robert "Bobby" Walter Scott, Jr.. She is survived by: her mother Virginia Ready Scott; her husband Elonzo Frederick Sharpe, Jr.; her sons, Edwin Scott Sherrill (Jennine Moritz) and Robert Wes Sherrill; her grandchildren, Will Sherrill, Anna Sherrill and Molly Sherrill; and her friend Lynda Wexler.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church building fund (900 Spring St., Johnson City, TN, 37604), or a charity of your choice.
