He was predeceased by: his parents, David H Barker and Ada Durham Barker; and his siblings, James Wayne (Boones Creek), Harvey of Decatur, GA, Paris (Unicoi), JD (Boones Creek), Murell (Gray) and Revia (Boones Creek).
He is survived by: his sister Hurtha Hull; his sister-in-law Bonnie Barker (Gray); his sons, Josias Barker (Laura) of Canton, NC and Monty Barker (Christine) of Asheboro, NC.; his grandchildren, Rebecca McMahan and Ben Barker of Canton, NC.; his great grandchildren, Emma, Lucas (Rebecca), Kylie, Bentley and Abbigail (Ben); his close friends, Darrell, Jessie Milhorn, James and Brenda Lynch; and his niece Angela. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and great nieces and, Nephews.
