She was predeceased by: her husband Martin Stettner; her parents, Vivian Smith and Fern Smith; and her siblings, Reluis Smith, Louia Smith, True Haney, Peggy Yancey and Valena Sumners.
She is survived by: her daughters, Sherrie Watt (Carlos) and Eloise Garland; her grandchildren, Justin Watt (Kelly), Melanie Santiago (Edgardo), Alex Garland (Debbie), Joseph Garland and Michael Garland (Carey); her siblings, James, Larry Smith, Diane Alston and Mary Blankenship; and her close friends, Wayne, Jean McGeorge, Catherine Blaggs and Jackie Street. She is also survived by 8 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Appalachian Funeral Home & Cremation Services (800 E Watauga Ave, Johnson City, TN 37601). A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Monte Vista Memorial Park (1900 E Oakland Ave, Johnson City, TN 37601).
