She was predeceased by: her parents, Burnie McGee and Mamie Misamore McGee; her husband Gay M. Payne; and her siblings, Kathleen Cox, Pauline Wycoff, Clarence McGee, Emory McGee, John McGee and Jimmy McGee.
She is survived by: her children, Linda (David Mongold), Lisa (Gary Snapp) and Randy Payne; her grandsons, Brian Mongold (Stephanie) and Jeffrey Mongold Jonesborough (Kristyn); her great grandchildren, Riley Mongold, Owen Mongold, Grant Mongold and Zac Mongold; and her sister Shelby Watson. She is also survived by several nephews and nieces.
