She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert E. Gillespie and Vera Goines Gillespie; her husband Samuel David Redd; her child Kim J. Redd; and her brother Thurston Lavoid Gillespie.
She is survived by: her sister Bobbie Gillespie Scott; and her sister-in-law Shelby Redd. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Science Hill High School girls' basketball team.
