It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Calvin Coolidge Ward of Johnson City, Tennessee, who passed away on December 14, 2023, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Ward and Mary Presnell Ward; his granddaughter Melissa Ward; his daughter-in-law Sharon Ward; and his siblings, Bessie Lee Presnell, Evie Ward, Mary Alice Hammitt, Martha Ward, Howard, Casey, Garfield, Clifton and James Elbert Ward.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Ruth Sorrell Ward; his children, Rocky Ward (Teresa) of Johnson City, Keith Ward (Tandy) of Johnson City, Barbara Whitson (J. D.) of Gray and Sarah Chapman (Scott) of Jonesborough; his grandchildren, Holly Keplinger (Larry), Adam, Rachel, Tony Ward (Anna), Billy Ward (Carey), Nicki Ward, Jennifer Johnson (Erik), Julie Murray (Matthew) and Tyler Chapman; his great grandchildren, Katie, Andrew, Whitney, Hunter, Haley, Anthony, Miranda, Savannah, Abigail, Bella, Torri, William, Abbie and Gracie; and his great great grandchildren, Carson, Kenna, Emeryn, Sybil, Neil, Nolan and Zion. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests that donations be made to the Word of Life Church Missionary Fund.
