It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carl M. Hyder of Johnson City, Tennessee, who passed away on July 17, 2025, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert McKinley Hyder and Nola June Yelton Hyder; his sisters, Marrian Smith, Brenda York, Barbara Goodwin and Jewel Dean Richardson; and his close friend Gary Maupin.
He is survived by: his wife Donna Kay Tittle Hyder; his children, Tony Hyder, Kelly Hyder (Olivia), Kara Hyder and Kayla Hyder; his brothers, Glen "Sonny" Yelton (Alina) and Jimmy Yelton (Pat); his grandchildren, Austin Hyder (Leanna) and Allie Hill; and his friends, Ruth and Jennifer Maupin. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Johnson City Freewill Baptist Church. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Washinton County Memory Gardens (113 Memory Gardens Rd, Johnson City, TN 37615).
