With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Carole Montgomery Pectol of Johnson City, Tennessee, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 27, 2026 at the age of 83. She was predeceased by: her parents, Trox Montgomery and Rose Miller Montgomery; and her sisters, Jane McCalla and Ellen Montgomery. She is survived by: her husband Richard W. Pectol; her sisters, Ann Richards and Eva Parks; her children, Lisa Clayton (Charlie), Dr. Wes Pectol (Cynthia), David Pectol (Courtney), James Pectol (Angie) and Michael Pectol; and her grandchildren, Winston Clayton, Matthew Clayton, Ali Drake, Sam Pectol, Dr. Wesley Pectol and Ellie Pectol. She is also survived by five great grandchildren and many beloved nieces and nephews.
She requested that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Johnson City Library.
