It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles E. McConnell (Johnson City, Tennessee), who passed away on March 24, 2022, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Ann Katherine Machen; his parent Winnie McConnell; his daughters, Sherry Bass and Ann Simmons; his grandchildren, Gaylon McConnell, Katherine Workman and Garrett McConnell; and his brother Howard McConnell.

He is survived by: his children, Charlette Tate (Bennie), Eddie McConnell, Garry McConnell (Jodi), Tracy Bacon (Pedro), Sevella Mostella (Stephen) and Gloria Barner; his sister Elva Morrison; and his nephew Darrell Murphy. He is also survived by many great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
