She was predeceased by: her parents, William E. "Junior" Phillips and Dorothy Norris Phillips; her husband James Shell; her daughter Angie Jones; and her brother Tommy Phillips.

She is survived by: her son Bill Jones (Haley) of Johnson City; her grandchildren, Harper Jones, Annarae Jones, Andrea McKee, Carrie Wagner and Sabrina McKee; and her nephew Thomas Phillips. She is also survived by eight great grandchildren.
