He was predeceased by: his parents, Creed Lockmiller and Rebecca Lockmiller; his former wife Bobbie Lockmiller of Cleveland, TN; and his siblings, A. C. Lockmiller of Athens, Margaret Cline of Athens and Jean Sevier of Memphis.

He is survived by: his wife Sue; his children, David Lockmiller (Jenny) of Johnson City, Julie Duguay (Bob) of Indianapolis, Brad Carson (Paige) of Center Grove, Indiana and Laurie Boicourt (Vic) of Scottsburg, Indiana.; his grandchildren, Jesse Morris, Kayla Morris, Kyle Carson, Janelle Robertson and Jaycie Miller; and his great grandchildren, Carson Goines, Cyrus Carson and Lucas Carson.
