He was predeceased by: his father Bascom Beecher Barnett; his wife Patricia Hawkins Barnett; and his brother Lawrence "Cotton" Barnett. He is survived by: his daughters, Jennifer Rybak (Dirk) and Becky Tucker (Bradley); his sisters, Ann Hensley (Gene) and Barbara Garvin (Roy); his grandchildren, McKenzie Tucker, Emy Johnson and Elijah Johnson; and his pets, Knox and Zeus. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
