He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Virgil and Amanda Ellen Greene; and his siblings, Kenneth Greene, Earl Greene, Robert Greene and Shirley Calloway.
He is survived by: his wife Judy C. Greene; his children, Donna Lynn Hill and Raymond Edward "Eddie" Greene (Jamie); his grandchildren, Kevin Grindstaff (Rebecca), Warren Greene (Chasity) and Alyssa Greene; and his great grandchildren, Tyler Grindstaff, Sophia Grindstaff, Kayden Greene, Carter Boggs and Oliver Greene. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Appalachian Funeral Home (800 E Watauga Ave, Johnson City, TN 37601). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the East Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Home (800 E Watauga Ave, Johnson City, TN 37601). A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Roselawn Memorial Park (3033 S Roan St, Johnson City, TN 37601).
