It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edwin Winston Williams Jr. of Johnson City, Tennessee, who passed away on October 22, 2022, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin W. Williams and Mary Yeates Williams; his former wife Elizabeth Lackey Williams (Betsy); his sister Rosemary Cloughley; and his brother-in-law Bill Cloughley.
He is survived by: his wife Calvert Hankins Williams; his sons, Timothy Yeates Williams (Kristin) and Jonathan Dixon Williams (Misti); his stepson Walter Hankins Mathes (Katya); his grandchildren, William Webster Southard, Molly Southard (Alder), Katherine Elizabeth Lackey (Kate), Elizabeth Ann Williams (Betsy), Benjamin Barnett Williams, Patricia Bailey Williams and Thomas Alexander Mathes; his brother Parham Williams; and his sister-in-law Norma. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
